On the last morning in April, Colt greeted me with a fat, fat lip.  It was like he had a baseball in his mouth.  It was hard and hot and very worrisome.  Once the vet opened we got right in.  She couldn’t rule out that it wasn’t a snake bite, but we both figured it was more likely a wasp sting.  She gave him a shot of Benadryl and sent us home.  I continued to treat it with more Benadryl (75 mg) every 4-6 hours and it resolved in about 2 days.  He is just fine now, but not snapping at bees anymore.
