It is so nice to have him home.  Two weeks was two too long.

Today the wind is blowing like crazy and I am afraid that my beautiful leaves will be piled up at the neighbors by the time it is over.  I am glad I go this shot the other day.

I don’t know how many times I have tried to get a picture of Colt sleeping like this.  But it has been many.  I will come around the corner and find him like this, first I laugh out loud, then grab my camera, then try to get at a good angle and then he wakes up, or rolls a different way.  I finally got the shot I wanted.

The field across the road from me has been harvested and now Glen (the farmer) is discing it under.  The different layers caught my eye as I was walking Taylor.  The cornstalks, the plowed earth, the autumn trees, and the new snow on the mountains.

The pear tree in my front yard is the last tree on the place to change colors.  Here it is just stating to show some color.

Doug was out of town for two weeks.  He was in Stehekin, Washington working on a job for the National Park Service.  He was suppose to be gone one week, but it went longer than expected.  Stehekin does not have phone service, but he did have an Internet connection.  So kept me updated via e-mail.  He also sent me flowers.  They were a ray of sunshine in the house.
